Born in 1964 in London, United Kingdom, Brandt studied film and painting at Saint Martin’s School of Art. His photographs have been exhibited all over the world, including solo exhibitions at Fotografiska in Stockholm, Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow, and the National Museum of Finland in Helsinki, among others. In a series of photographic panoramas shot in East Africa, Nick Brandt records the impact of man in places where animals used to roam, but no longer do.
